摘要: In an earlier review of the behavioral effects HIV counseling and testing (HIV CT), Higgins colleagues (1991) found that evidence regarding ability CT to influence HIV-risk related practices was largely inconclusive. This article reviews 35 domestic international studies published since time reassess scientific data motivate changes in risk-related promote help-seeking behavior. The identified for this were grouped into four categories according subject population: (1) men who have sex with men, (2) injection other drug users, (3) women heterosexual couples, (4) mixed samples recruited from sexually transmitted disease (STD) clinics settings. Findings reviewed generally mixed--many provided at least some supporting risk-reducing behavior, but others did not. pattern results varied substantially across, within, study populations often limited by considerable methodological weaknesses.
