Hedgerows of different cultures: implications from a Canadian and English cross-cultural study

摘要: ————————————————————————————————— This paper outlines the functions and character of hedgerows in two different cultures through investigation perspectives. Data from a small Canadian study Delta region British Columbia was used to inform larger English counties. Although many aspects perspective on were similar that perspective, data highlighted importance cultural differences hedged landscapes. These had important consequences for way which planned managed challenges perceptions their management. The concludes ecological value are inevitably entwined with feelings towards landscapes these have implications not only structure, function hedgerows, but also transfer hedgerow knowledge between cultures.
