摘要: Genomics has become a pervasive tool in biomedical research empowering basic models of disease as well discovery novel biomarkers. In the field asthma effort this only begun recently, with dozen experiments published up to date. The studies so far shed light on transcriptional networks underlying allergic inflammation, mostly basis ovalbumin-induced acute inflammation. They also explore specific effects transcription therapeutic compounds, environmental agents, genetic manipulations and different backgrounds, thus providing rich baseline description molecular states disease. On contrary there been no investigation dynamics both initiation manifestation allergy, almost all focusing single time point. Similarly, other aspects genomics (e.g. epigenomics, chromatin interactions, microRNAs ncRNAs) remain completely unexplored are likely benefit from recent development next-generation sequencing approaches.
