摘要: Translocation is defined as the movement of living organisms from one area for free release in another. Throughout world, increasing numbers native and exotic species are translocated every year. Most these movements involve mammals, birds fish, made by private national wildlife agencies to augment existing populations, usually sporting purposes. The translocation endangered species, often reintroduce them into a part historical range which they have been extirpated, has also become an important conservation technique. success potentially expensive, high-profile projects depends large extent on care with biologists their veterinary advisers evaluate suitability chosen site, ability animals colonise area. aspects reintroduction proving be extreme importance. There already instances inadequate disease risk assessment resulting expensive failures and, worse still, introduction destructive pathogens naive resident populations. In this paper, some risks attending described suggestions development systematic procedures reduce both at source founder proposed site.
