摘要: [Extract] Over the past 17 years, sound ecologically based research into impacts has provided information necessary, while changes in legislative policy have impetus, to employ strategies for mitigation of roads and highways through rainforest ecosystems. Such include: road designs that avoid habitat or rehabilitation previously disturbed by redundant linear infrastructure; maintenance re-establishment tree canopy above narrow identification planting species create over wider without dropping branches; minimization clearing width; engineering solutions connectivity include bridges arboreal animals underpasses with furniture cover retain underneath terrestrial wildlife; erection powerlines canopy. Collaboration between researchers, authorities, government agencies conservation groups applied this upgrades several Wet Tropics rainforest. Serial modifications funding from Queensland Department Main Roads (QDMR) knowledge gaps ensured best practice environmental outcomes on latest research. The accumulated base is applicable rainforests throughout world.
