摘要: BACKGROUND: We described malnutrition and the effect of age at antiretroviral therapy (ART) initiation on catch-up growth over 24 months among HIV-infected children enrolled in International epidemiologic Databases to Evaluate Aids West African paediatric cohort. METHODS: Malnutrition was defined ART (baseline) by a Z score /=-2 standard deviations) adjusted for gender immunodeficiency regimen time period country were compared initiation. Cox proportional hazards regression models determined predictors months. RESULTS: Between 2001 2012 2004 /=5 years WAZ HAZ (P < 0.001) WHZ/BAZ = 0.026). CONCLUSIONS: these is an additional burden that has be urgently managed. Despite significant improvement after especially <5 substantial proportion still never achieved growth. Nutritional care should part global healthcare sub-Saharan Africa.
