Design and sustainability

摘要: This is a discussion paper on design and sustainability. It does this by presenting empirical, though entirely personal experiences of sustainable design. The intention not to present definitive theory or model but instead stimulate among its community – which in turn may inform with luck the resultant methods too. Much has been written about theoretical fields ecodesign myriad methods, tools approaches have emerged for practice. Throughout time author, perhaps many other designers, left an uneasy feeling that something quite right. Somehow practice eco- largely missed what we know, feel do as designers. Readers find themselves asking where ‘design’ design? Some these questions, issues dilemmas will be discussed from designer’s perspective. looks at some unique characteristics ‘designed sustainability’, paying particular attention how current reflects companies.
