摘要: As a consequence of their professional activity, rescue workers are exposed to potentially traumatic events (PTEs). Therefore, they can develop negative effects both on personal and an organizational level. In particular, rescuers be considered at high risk for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). general, the prevalence PTSD is affected by nature, severity, repetition exposure events. higher rate symptoms has been observed among ambulance operators because greater pressure occupational stressors, if compared other rescuers. indirect witnesses critical events, also “stress resulting from helping or wanting help traumatized suffering person” that vicarious traumatization (VT). VTsymptoms very similar those in victims, but mental condition associated with trauma transmitted victim rescuer. Despite frequent PTEs, majority do not rely several individual protective factors, growth, adaptive flexibility.
