摘要: Abstract The effect of solution treatment on the age hardening an A356 (Al–7.0Si–0.3Mg) alloy was investigated by hardness measurements and electron microscopy. This study presents experimental evidences that a prolonged has detrimental influence due to porosity in cast alloy. enrichment Mg internal surface observed. Nanoscale particles magnesium oxides exist samples have been treated with extended duration. Our results indicate atoms would diffuse toward pre-existed during treatment. phenomenon is consistent degraded aging kinetics potential alloys for long time, since reduction solutes Al matrix shall lead decrease volume fraction Mg–Si-containing strengthening precipitates, which are mainly monoclinic β″ phase. findings emphasize significance controlling porosities may provide useful information designing thermal parameters reach optimum balance between strength ductility.
