摘要: We investigate the extent to which cosmic size magnification may be used complement shear in weak gravitational lensing surveys, with a view obtaining high-precision estimates of cosmological parameters. Using simulated galaxy images, we find that unbiased estimation convergence field is possible using galaxies angular sizes larger than Point-Spread Function (PSF) and signal-to-noise ratio excess 10. The statistical power similar to, but not quite as good as, shear, it subject different systematic effects. Application groundbased data will challenging, relatively large empirical corrections required account for fact many are smaller PSF, space-based 0.1-0.2 arcsecond resolution, distribution brighter i ≃ 24 almost ideal accurate magnification.
