摘要: Abstract The strustures of bimetallic ruthenium(II)ruthenium(III) ions with a variety bridging ligands are considered using molecular orbital methods. These may by symmetrical equivalent metal centers or be distorted nonequivalent sites, which in the extreme can identified as Ru(II) and Ru(III). Certain such 4,4′-bipyridine nonconjugated dicyano species would have degenerate ground state if they were thus distorted. In other odd electron will located coupled there less tendency toward distortion. original Creutz Taube pyrazine bridged complex is this type.
