摘要: Abstract The 24-h median lethal concentration of nitrite (NO2 –) for striped bass Morone saxatilis was 163 mg/L in static toxicity tests. Exogenous chloride ions increased the tolerance fish NO2 –; CaCl2 more than twice as effective NaCl. Plasma –, cortisol, and methemoglobin were correlated positively with environmental –. – negatively Cl–, but cortisol not reduced by presence Cl–. Striped maintained plasma (0–45 mg –/L) at concentrations below those environment (0–250 –/L). However, sensitive to that entered plasma; levels greater 60% 70 resulted significant mortalities.
