摘要: Defining a multimedia remote viewer for mobile thin clients comes across with threefold scientific/technical constraints: (1) providing at the client side heterogeneous content and support ultimate collaboration functionalities, (2) ensuring stable quality of services despite constrained resources available network terminal, (3) featuring terminal independency benefiting from community support. The present thesis addresses these challenges by developing collaborative, semantic viewer. The underlying architecture features novel components scene-graph creation management, as well collaborative user events handling. The adaptive compression scene graph lossless messages are optimized through two devoted algorithms. former creates unique scene-graph, intrinsically adaptable to network/terminal conditions. latter dynamically generates updates encoding table according generated users. Both algorithms patented. The direct functionality is ensured level enriching new type node where currently becomes part ISO standards. The experimental setup considers Linux X windows system BiFS/LASeR technologies on server sides, respectively. implemented solution was objectively benchmarked against deployed solutions (VNC RFB Microsoft RDP), considering text-editing www-browsing applications. quantitative assessments demonstrate: limited depreciation visual quality, e.g. PSNR values between 30 42dB or SSIM larger than 0.9999; downlink bandwidth gain factors ranging 2 60; efficient real-time event management expressed roundtrip-time reduction 4 6 up-link 3 10; (4) feasible CPU activity, in RDP case but reduced factor 1.5 respect VNC RFB.
