摘要: Daytime sleepiness can have debilitating effects on morbidity, quality of life, academic and work achievement, health care costs, yet most adolescents adults obtain significantly less than the recommended amount nightly sleep. The literature is filled with evidence that insufficient sleep associated a wide range impairments, including mood problems, physical morbidity such as obesity, increased rate motor vehicle accidents, poor occupational achievement. Sleepiness in children often manifested oppositional or inattentive behavior may place youth at risk for problems. Alarmingly, more 30 % report they experience daytime to extent it impairs daily activities several days per month more.
