摘要: Abstract The growth of large cities often involves changes in territorial and landscape structures. Modern procedures for classifying land cover, based on mapping involving databases (such as the European CORINE database) geographic information systems, allow use, spatial distribution dynamics to be examined. present study identifies quantifies urban–rural transformation processes that occurred over period 1990–2006 towards south Madrid. results obtained show urbanization have been predominant process. speed urban use has enormous, increasing urbanized area by 100% between 1990 (29,914 ha) 2006 (70,095 ha). Characterizing take place along gradients provides a means quantifying impact landscape.
