摘要: Objectives (1) To report the clinical and synovial effects of a platelet-rich product (PRPr) in normal equine joints, (2) to assess persistence platelets within fluid after intra-articular injection, (3) compare responses different preparations that product, (4) evaluate gravity filtration system for PRPr preparation horses. Study Design Experimental. Methods A saline was prepared from 7 horses using proprietary device divided into 3 treatments: resting, CaCl2-activated (23 mM, final), bovine thrombin-activated (10 U/mL, final). Each horse had concurrent randomly assigned treatments administered their metacarpophalangeal/metatarsophalangeal joints; fourth limb injected with (0.9% NaCl) solution as control. Clinical assessments, cytologic analysis hemograms were performed at 6, 24, 48, 96 hours injection. composition growth factor content analyzed. Results The produced moderately concentrated PRPr. At 6 24 hours, when compared control values, all caused significant increase WBC concentration (P < .0059) neutrophil percentage (P < .0005). Bovine injection consistently increased effusion scores periarticular signs. time points, significantly greater (P < .001) than control, or resting Intact could be observed up 5 days injection. Conclusions Resting may safely used treat but thrombin activation is not recommended 10 U/mL. A can system, eliminating need centrifugation.
