摘要: Clusterin has been implicated in numerous processes including active cell death, immune regulation, adhesion and morphological transformation. The purpose of this study was to examine clusterin expression a large series breast carcinomas by immunohistochemistry situ hybridization. included 40 samples non-neoplastic glandular epithelia, 42 benign lesions, 15 atypical intraductal hyperplasias, 35 situ, 114 invasive carcinomas, lymph node metastases from patients. Epithelial normal cells were always negative for only 19% the lesions presented positive staining. In contrast however, frequency increased hyperplasias (47%, P = 0.08), (49%, 0.01) (53%, < 0.001). Positive staining cytoplasmic pattern, except 3 cases which had nuclear mRNA hybridization confirmed specific cellular pattern immunohistochemistry. associated with tumor size (P 0.04), estrogen progesterone receptor status 0.02 0.001, respectively) progression primary carcinoma metastatic nodes (80% expression) 0.004). Ten (67%) without became metastases, while most (22 25, 88%) clusterin-positive also immunoreactive metastases. survival analysis, did not represent prognostic indicator uni- or multivariate analysis. tended correlate inversely apoptotic index 0.09) indicates that gene is prerequisite death apoptosis. From these results, we suggest may have role tumorigenesis human carcinomas.
