摘要: Objective: Comparison between a Less Invasive Stabilization System (LISS) using monocortical screws with angular stability and two conventional plate systems Condylar Buttress Plate (CBP) Dynamic Screw (DCS) for the treatment of distal femoral fractures respect to biomechanical properties. Design: Biomechanical study paired cadaver femurs. In Test Configuration 1 (distal test), ten-millimeter gap at diaphysis-metaphysis junction simulates supracondylar fracture. 2 (proximal test) has same configuration, but was cut in isthmic region. Proximal ends were fixed corresponding cortical bone fragments both tests. Optical displacement transducers served quantify system's ability withstand stepwise increased load. Reversible (deflection) irreversible deformation (subsidence) bone-plate construct investigated. Results: 1, LISS showed less 72 percent left-right comparisons. No correlation mineral density, cross-section area bones measured response under load found pairs. 2, 83 comparisons permanent higher elastic LISS. Conclusions: These results suggest an enhanced high loads when screw fixation technique stability. A compared plating can be explained by lower bending stiffness caused different design material
