摘要: The fraction of directly-bound carbonyls surface-adsorbed poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) was determined using transmission Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. small size the silica used allowed these measurements to be made directly in mode from dried casts deposited on KBr salt plates. Curve fitting carbonyl-stretching region estimation both relative amounts and also ratio absorption coefficients for free bound carbonyls. bound-carbonyl fractions were found vary smoothly 0.3 0.1 adsorbed 0.5 1.8 mg PMMA/m 2 . depended primarily amount polymer. Only very small, perhaps even negligible, direct effects solvent composition (toluene vs. benzene/acetonitrile) or molecular mass (32 420 kg/mol) observed.
