摘要: Millions of people worldwide are at risk from the presence arsenic in groundwater. In this study, adsorption equilibrium and long term experiments were carried out to evaluate performance iron oxide coated sponge (IOCSp) removal. It was found that maximum capacity IOCSp for As(III) As(V) calculated by Sips isotherm 4.2 4.6 mg/g IOCSp, respectively. A filter packed with small amount 25 g maintained a consistent removal efficiency 95% synthetic solution containing concentration as high 1000 μg/L. This produced throughput volume 153 178 L water As(V), respectively before any need regeneration or disposal IOCSp. could be regenerated washing it NaOH solution. The dynamic (column) kinetics successfully predicted Thomas Nikolaidis modified models.
