摘要: The gonadotropin releasing hor- mone (GnRH) has long been considered as a neuro- peptide involved in the control of reproductive cycle. However, presence GnRH and its receptors various tissues, including ovary testis, suggests role autocrine/paracrine factor. In present study, we report expression sGnRH-1 sGnRH-2 genes encoding salmon rainbow trout testis throughout testicular development spermato- genesis. We demonstrate that both sGnRH mRNA are expressed prior sexual differentiation. adult, northern blot analysis indicates tran- scripts at higher levels than messengers. Moreover, observed sGnRH-2, not sGnRH-1, messengers was stage-dependent. decreases onset progressively rebounds end spermatogenesis. addition, demon- strate complex stage-dependent differential splicing occurs isolated five transcripts corre- sponding to Two them may encode novel shortened GnRH-associated containing 18 residues instead 46.
