摘要: Publisher Summary Epilepsy can be defined as a propensity for episodes of abnormally synchronous activation the brain's neural networks. This chapter discusses problem validating models epileptic has many etiologies that occur in complex network. In contrast to diversity and complexity network, output interest, seizures, is very simple. The simplicity small numbers measured parameters makes model validation difficult. Thus, it not easy determine biological relevance manipulations used generate seizure realistic computer with necessary degrees freedom. There are several ways address this issue. realism increased by constraining underlying cortical parameters. addition, required fit more dataset including measurements possible, such measures network include temporal physical dimensions. Measuring these under experimental conditions feasible provides opportunities additional tests accuracy. These constraints likely most practical approach near future. However, both currently limited amount data available.
