摘要: What is the slope of a(linear) function? Due to ubiquitous use mathematical software, this seemingly simple question shown lead some subtle issues that are not usually addressed in school curriculum. In particular, we present evidence there exists much confusion regarding connection between algebraic and geometric aspects slope, scale angle. The arises when common but undeclared default assumptions, concerning isomorphism systems, undermined. participants study were 11th-grade students, prospective in-service secondary mathematics teachers, educators mathematicians — a total 124 people. All responded non-standard task, behavior under non-homogeneous change scale. Analysis responses reveals two main approaches, which have termed ‘analytic’ ‘visual’, as well combinations two.
