摘要: BACKGROUND: Earlier studies have suggested that type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) alters the risk of developing a variety cancers, but little has been known about impact T2DM on cancer prognosis. On basis nationwide population-based Swedish registries, authors this report compared cause-specific survival among patients with and without T2DM. METHODS: Patients were identified from Hospital Discharge Register, cancers recorded Cancer Registry. Hazard ratios (HRs) calculated using Cox regression models to compare variations in between RESULTS: Of 1016,105 patients, 16,123 had hospitalized before their diagnosis cancer. The mortality rate was significantly higher than those (cause-specific HR, 1.38; 95% confidence interval, 1.35-1.41). There no differences TNM stage distribution or for main an exception tumor metastatic classifications breast prostate cancer, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: current results indicated who are diagnosed subsequent at increased (Less)
