Evaluation of pemphigus cases involving oral mucosa.

摘要: PURPOSE Pemphigus, defines a group of disorders in autoimmune etiology which could be life-threatening and clinical manifestations are mainly epithelial blistering affecting cutaneous and/or mucosal surfaces including oral mucosa. The aim our study is to evaluate the appearance pemphigus with involvement by reported 15 cases. MATERIAL AND METHODS This retrospective cases obtained over period 7 years from 2006 2013 Istanbul University, Dentistry Faculty, Oral Medicine Surgery Department was designed. RESULTS Age distribution 59 an average age 41.3 years. Of patients, male:female ratio 1:2.75 (4 male, 11 female). most common various vulgaris, diagnosed all patients. buccal mucosa (34.3%) commonly affected site followed tongue (20%), gingiva (17.1%), palate (11.4%), lips (11.4%) floor mouth (5.7%). CONCLUSION Our explanation this conclusion, while speculative, that socioeconomic situation related stress males hormonal changes like pregnancy menostasis females; systemic disease using drugs; dental trauma bruxism responsible for flare up disease.
