摘要: Abstract The reaction characteristics of several exothermic intermetallic reactions were studied experimentally. boron and carbon mixtures with titanium zirconium found to be self-propagating at room temperature but aluminide other types react only elevated temperatures or must have additives which reduce their thermal conductivities before self-sustaining can initiated. mechanism was using pyrometry metallography. It shown that the adiabatic exceed melting point alloy in order insure a reaction, ignition may below either constituent. Linear rates transport properties are reported. Exothermic constitute special type gasless which, owing comparative chemical inertness, find application pyrotechnic ordnance devices.
