摘要: Abstract A retrospective review of patients who underwent arthroscopic partial lateral meniscectomy for meniscus tears in otherwise normal knees was conducted to the long-term functional, clinical, and radiographic results. Twenty-six (27 knees) were evaluated by questionnaire; 20 (21 also physical examination analysis. Minimum follow-up 5 years mean 8 years. Patient data obtained from detailed questionnaires, knee examinations, radiographs. Excellent or good results decreased 92% at time maximal improvement 62% most recent follow-up: 85% initially able return their preinjury activity level; however, only 48% maintain this level follow-up. Seventy-two percent had either one no Fairbank changes there statistical difference when comparing criteria operated nonoperated knee. Early can be quite good; significant deterioration functional occur. Radiographic did not correlate with subjective sumptoms outcome our patient population. Our findings suggest that patietns undergoing may deteriorate it helpful counsel concerning expectations.
