摘要: The beneficial endophytic microorganisms have received significant attention in agriculture because of their exceptional capabilities to facilitate functions like nutrient enrichment, water status, and stress tolerance (biotic abiotic). This review signifies the molecular mechanisms better understand Piriformospora indica-mediated plants improvement or protection for sustainable agriculture. P. indica, an fungus, belonging order Sebacinales (Basidiomycota), is versatile building mutualistic associations with a variety including pteridophytes, bryophytes, gymnosperms, angiosperms. indica has enormous potential manipulate hormonal pathway such as production indole-3-acetic acid which turn increases root proliferation subsequently improves plant acquisition. also enhances components antioxidant system expression stress-related genes induce under adverse environmental conditions. tremendous crop its multi-dimensional growth promotion, immunomodulatory effect, biofertilizer, obviates biotic (pathogens) abiotic (metal toxicity, stress, soil structure, salt, pH) stresses, phytoremediator, bio-herbicide. Considering above points, herein, we reviewed physiological underlying diverse agricultural environment. first part focuses on symbiotic association special reference host colonization mechanisms, respectively. Emphasis given level essential involved processes that changes at cellular level. last half emphasizes critical aspects related seed germination, yield, nutrients
