摘要: Two proteins isolated from Paracoccus denitrificans, the copper-containing electron carrier amicyanin and pyrroloquinoline quinone-containing enzyme methylamine dehydrogenase, have been shown to form a complex. Complex formation between dehydrogenase either oxidized or reduced resulted in alterations absorbance spectrum of quinone prosthetic group dehydrogenase. Binding exhibited positive cooperativity. with shifted oxidation-reduction midpoint potential by 73 mV, +294 +221 making transfer cytochrome c551 (Em = +190 mV) thermodynamically possible.
