摘要: The valved hot-gas engine (VHGE), first reported at the 1973 IECEC is a closed regenerative, reciprocating Brayton cycle using helium as working gas. Preliminary analysis shows that this competitive with Stirling in terms of low pollution, high efficiency, and power density. efficiencies one cylinder have been under investigation since 1972. Tests analyses show cyclic heat transfer between gas causes major loss rather than piston ring leakage suspected. Engine efficiency could approach expected 47% by further reduction both expander compressor.
