摘要: A jackrabbit die-off near a metropolitan airport was observed by an contractor. Further investigation determined that this probably due to epizootic tularemia. Because of proximity areas heavy human traffic and fears transmission tularemia humans, the local health district department emergency management organized multiagency response involving animal control, environmental health, public law enforcement, personnel, in addition state federal agencies. The subsequently ended, no cases occurred. In our after-action analysis, we identified several lessons learned: importance illness surveillance, which can serve as warning for potential epidemic; usefulness pre-event planning, training, exercises facilitating coordinated response; effective communication system with healthcare community; responders ...
