摘要: Non-beta-lactam inhibitor-based methods were evaluated for detecting plasmid-mediated AmpC β-lactamases in Klebsiella spp., Escherichia coli, and Proteus mirabilis. Using CLSI methodology disks containing cefotetan alone combination with 400 μg of boronic acid, 9 10 positive control strains 54 55 AmpC-PCR-positive clinical isolates detected. Importantly 71% 40% these susceptible by routine testing to ceftriaxone ceftazidime, respectively. Boronic acid also enhanced detection expanded-spectrum producers.
