摘要: The results on testing application of ground tire rubber (GTR), as potential filler for butyl rubber, are presented. GTR content variation, within the range 10–90 phr, was studied with respect to vulcanization process, static mechanical properties (tensile strength, elongation-at-break, hardness and resilience), dynamic morphology obtained vulcanizates. Butyl characterized by its low compatibility other elastomers [i.e., natural styrene–butadiene (SBR)—the main ingredients tires] degree unsaturation. To evaluate impact these factors curing characteristics vulcanizates filled GTR, same compositions SBR compounds, cured under identical conditions, were used reference samples. Based data, it can be stated that containing 30 phr revealed highest tensile strength elongation-at-break. microstructural analysis a sample strong interactions between matrix GTR. This phenomenon resulted mainly from two factors. First, cross-link density affected competition against cross-linking agents. Secondly, migration carbon black particles into had significant
