Free oxygen radicals in patients with diabetes mellitus

摘要: Free oxygen radicals (FOR) are one of the factors which participate via lipoperoxides in development atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis complications affect a large part diabetic patients. The objective present work was to test whether patients there is, as compared with healthy subjects, difference FOR activity and lipoperoxide blood level. A total 30 insulin non-dependent diabetes control group 31 subjects were examined. formation blood, concentration malondialdehyde (MDA) marker lipid paroxidation serum concentrations assessed. In statistically significant increase (p < 0.01) an increased MDA found. mean two groups did not differ significantly. results suggest participation role highly reactive species vascular atherosclerosis complications.
