摘要: Brain tumors are known to be the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in pediatric population. Surgical resection brain may result a permanent cognitive deficit or some other lasting neurological dysfunction. Chemotherapy has multiple side effects and radiation therapy includes risk radiation-induced damage secondary tumors. MRI-guided LITT is an evolving successful alternative form therapy. Pilocytic astrocytomas, ependymomas, medulloblastomas, subependymal giant cell hypothalamic hamartomas most commonly studied forms seen treated with promising results MRIgLITT.
