摘要: There is a broad variety of methods to estimate groundwater recharge, but tools assess the reliability particular are not available. This paper introduces three distinct criteria recharge: applicability method used, availability reliable data, and spatial coverage. Weightings each criterion assigned using key attributes present total required under criterion. A assessment was applied two point-recharge diffuse-recharge dominated basins in South Australia. We show that use age based on chlorofluorocarbon conventional chloride mass balance gives unreliable estimates recharge karstic aquifers, primarily due inappropriate assumptions concerning nature these systems. Among evaluated, watertable fluctuation, numerical modelling, Darcy flow calculation water budget both point diffuse dominant basins. The depends quality data coverage basin. Once level known, resources planners managers risk environment, socio-economic development for sustainable management groundwater.
