Factors associated with treatment seeking in a community sample of European American and Mexican American women with eating disorders

摘要: The purpose of this study was to investigate factors associated with treatment seeking in a community sample European American and Mexican women eating disorders. We also explored which variables were receiving treatment. Participants 190 disorders (80 American, 110 American) who diagnosed using the SCID-IV Eating Disorder Examination. Results indicated that is ethnicity (i.e. being American), suffering from bulimia nervosa more frequent purging, longer duration disorder psychiatric comorbidity and, for women, higher degree acculturation. Detection (European earlier age onset lower BMI. Given debilitating chronic nature disorders, further knowledge impede or facilitate help detection needed.
