Effect of graphene nanoplate addition on the tribological performance of Ni3Al matrix composites

摘要: The main objective of this work has been the characterization wear behavior graphene nanoplates (GNPs) in Ni3Al matrix composites (NMC). friction and behaviors NMC with addition 1 wt.% GNPs against Si3N4 ball are tested under different loads using a constant speed 0.2 m/s. Tribological test results have revealed that small amounts able to drastically improve antifriction antiwear properties NMC. A possible explanation for these is that, not only provide an enhanced effect produce better resistance, but also form local protective layer on contact surfaces reduce friction. investigation shows hold great potential applications as effective solid lubricant possibly other alloys.
