摘要: In sandy environments, like the beach-dune system, buildings not only affect airflow, but also aeolian sediment transport in their surroundings. this study, we determine how horizontal size of deposition patterns around depends on building’s dimensions. Four one-day experiments were conducted at beach using box-shaped scale models. We tested 32 building geometries, where model height, width and length ranged between 0.3 2.0 metres. The substantial size: total area up to an order magnitude larger than It was found that upwind downwind depended more perpendicular wind direction (w), height (h). Building had little influence. Especially combined effect w h correlated well with size. This is expressed a new scaling B for buildings, = 2 / 3 . 1 As first validation, spatial dimensions initial observed 2.5x12x2.5 metres, placed five weeks, showed good agreement those predicted based B.
