摘要: The purpose of this cross-sectional, descriptive study was to assess the rates helmet and examine variables related bicycle use in a sample 8–16 year old Turkish children. Data were collected from purposive 1180 students who self-identified as cyclists 1128 parents or guardians two state primary schools urban municipalities northern part Istanbul, Turkey. Results showed that self-reported found prevalent 4.4% most cited reasons for not wearing were: ‘don't own one’, ‘helmets are uncool’, ‘uncomfortable’. Significant differences between users non-users correlated gender, age, owning helmet, friend's guardian's while riding.
