Knockout of UBP34 in Physcomitrella patens reveals the photoaffinity labeling of another closely related IPR protein

摘要: Abstract UBP34, a soluble 34 kDa protein identified in the moss Physcomitrella patens by photoaffinity labeling with an urea-type cytokinin agonist, belonging to plant intracellular pathogenesis related (IPR) family. This class of proteins is ubiquitous kingdom but their functions are still unknown. Using reverse genetic approach we generated knockout mutants at UBP34 locus homologous recombination. Knockout plants grown various conditions do not present any visible phenotypic alteration. However, biochemical and molecular analysis transformants reveal specific another similar protein.
