摘要: Harmonic currents generated by modern office equipment cause power system heating and add to user bills. By looking at the harmonic-related losses in a specific electrical system-representing commercial building-energy costs are quantified. The analysis shows that building wiring related powering nonlinear electronic load may be more than double for linear equipment. Current-related such as I/sup 2/R, proximity of conductors, transformer winding eddy (I/sup 2/ h/sup 2/) considered. cost these is compared reducing harmonics design. Results show an active-type harmonic-elimination circuit, built into common switch-mode-power supply, cost-effective based on energy loss considerations alone.
