摘要: The construction, measurement, and modeling of an artificial cochlea (ACochlea) are presented in this paper. An basilar membrane (ABM) was made by depositing discrete Cu beams on a piezomembrane substrate. Rather than two fluid channels, as the mammalian cochlea, single channel implemented one side ABM, facilitating use laser to detect ABM vibration other side. Measurements were performed both ACochlea. measurement results show that longitudinal coupling is very strong. Reduced achieved cutting between adjacent using laser. measured from ACochlea with laser-cut demonstrate cochlear-like features, including traveling waves, sharp high-frequency rolloffs, place-specific frequency selectivity. Companion computational models mechanical devices formulated circuit simulator. Experimental data compared simulation results. similar their experimental counterparts.
