摘要: OBJECTIVE To determine the scope, impact, and health care limitations relative to cardiovascular disease (CVD) in Latino-Hispanic population. METHODS We reviewed MEDLINE PubMed for studies published from January 1995 June 2005 using a combination of search terms (epidemiology, Hispanic, CVD) chose articles review on basis direct informational relevance current status preventive treatment barriers CVD among community. Additional information was gathered through general Internet by Google with aforementioned US Bureau Census governmental statistics related these found Web sites. RESULTS For proactive reduction rates population United States, interventions should be targeted. Several exist providing effective Medical research involving is sparse, many Latino Hispanic subjects do not have insurance or regular source care, poor English-language ability low education literacy levels limit awareness inhibit communications between persons system. CONCLUSION The prevalence growth community provide clear warning that public problem presented already substantial will become much more severe coming decades. Actions manage minimize this are urgently needed.
