Metal-Induced Photoluminescence Quenching of Organic Molecular Crystals

摘要: We present a detailed study of the thickness dependence photoluminescence ultrathin organic films on Au(111). For evaluation observed intensities new differential analysis method is introduced. The obtained quantum yield indicates complete quenching in range below 4 monolayers (ML) for two crystal polymorphs and saturates above 12 ML. Several models energy transfer were applied to our data. conclude that only consideration both exciton diffusion dissociation at organic−metal interface combination with classical results satisfactory description.
