摘要: Maintaining sugarcane straw over the soil surface after harvest without burning may damage sprouting, tillering and crop yield, mainly in cold climate sites, addition to contributing higher levels of spittlebug ( Mahanarva fimbriolata ) infestations. Therefore, this work was developed with objective evaluating tillering, fresh biomass accumulation yield ratoon (var. RB855453), as well infestation level M. , when submitted three different management systems: (i.) total area; (ii.) uncovered rows (iii.) accumulating one interrow. As a result experimental rigor provided by Tukey test size representativeness each plot (2700 m ² ), it possible conclude that keeping area, burning, reduced development, presenting lower tiller biomass. Straw interrow did not contribute number tillers; however, promoted tillers consequently difference for rows. Lower infestations were identified treatment rows; control reached thus, entomological damages must have contributed under area.
