摘要: We compared density, sex ratio, body mass, and annual recapture rate of northern flying squirrel (Glaucomys sabrinus) populations in second-growth old-growth Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) stands the Oregon Cascade Range. Densities averaged 2.0 2.3 squirrels/ha second- stands, respectively. Although densities varied between years within average were similar years. Body mass stand–age classes, although a higher proportion females was recaptured subsequent than stands. Similarly, there males but not Squirrel correlated with habitat characteristics; we concluded that squirrels may be generalists, species associated as previously hypothesized. suggest studies carried out radiotelemetry to more accu...
