High-resolution inner-shell photoabsorption of the OH and OD free radicals

摘要: The O 1s photoabsorption (ion-yield) spectra of OH (2Πi,v″=0) and OD radicals have been studied in the gas phase for first time. Spectroscopic parameters 1s→π excited 2Σ+ state OD, observed at ∼525.8 eV, obtained from a Franck–Condon analysis comparing both molecules. lifetime width this has measured as Γ=147±11 meV Γ=156±7 meV respectively. Excellent quantitative agreement is found between experimental spectroscopic re, ωe, T0, work recent theoretical results by high-level ab initio calculations. predicted equivalent-core model are close to values within few percent. This therefore provides an accurate description lowest-lying excitation process
