摘要: Faraday waves were used to create a patterned particulate film on the surface of glass substrate. The process involves deposition thin liquid substrate, where is comprised water and concentrated suspension particles. created by subjecting substrate vertical oscillation. Because films are thin, standing velocity fluctuations that not negligible near surface. As particles in settled bottom, flow field caused preferential particle organized pattern determined wave field. Subsequent evaporation left solid retained original We refer these as films. length scale patterns was order millimeters experiments described here. Use higher frequency oscillations could permit formation having smaller spatial scales.
