摘要: A study of 153 patients with squamous cell carcinoma the vulva is reviewed. Regional node metastases were present in 20%, and lymphatic spread proved single most significant prognostic factor this disease. Recurrent developed 47% cases nodal metastases. Lymph directly related to stage disease, tumor differentiation, lesion size, depth invasion. Sixty percent disease was not suspected by clinical examination. No patient developing recurrent after identification positive nodes survived Surgical staging based only upon size presence appears offer a clearer profile than conventional staging. The pattern frequency suggest that selected instances modifications standard surgical treatment vulvar cancer may be appropriate.
